Experience the Wildlife - The Alpaca Loom - Part 1

February 19, 2019

Oh joy of joys, this is one of those nifty combo day-trips where you can immerse yourself and experience things you never thought you would!

First of all, the farm boasts dromedaries, horses, alpacas and llamas. There are three hour-long tours daily, where you see the alpaca heard, witness the weavers in action and learn a lot about the process and production of their beautiful goods.

There are exquisite goods for sale, all hand-knitted, mittens, beanies and jerseys as well as an assortment of alpaca yarns. Make sure you pick up some of their delicious coffee and decadent cakes while you’re there.

There is a petting zoo that’s kid friendly and an awesome jungle gym for them to blow off some energy after the hour and a half car drive to get to Paarl.

Alpacas themselves are gorgeous beasts, getting up close and personal is truly magical!
