If you take Queen Victoria Road in either direction, you will be able to drive for hours on end and see wonders beyond compare. Today we will focus on this little easy-to-miss beach, rated as a Blue Flag beach and tucked away behind a shielding bamboo curtain between Bakoven and Camps Bay beaches.
The beach itself is shelly, with the sand consistency being more on the coarse side of the scale, but it is a wondrous little bay, sickle-shaped beach and an almost “enclosed” swimming area. The rocks surrounding this patch of paradise create a sheltered inlet that manages to deflect the waves rolling in and create a small bit of waist deep calm.
If you are walking along Queen Victoria, and you pass the bus stop, there is a gap in a fence with a path and some stairs that take you to this little-known gem.
