This cheesery’s heritage is squarely based on one man's vision and many peoples execution, Rob Visser spent many years scouring the french countryside to find unique recipes and learn trade secrets at the feet of masters.
Amongst their many variations the core stock remains Brie, Camembert and Blue. These have spun off into unique and trademarked cheeses such as the Huguenot (Semi-hard, brushed rind style moulded into huge golden cartwheels), Boland (a semi-hard cheese with a hard rind made in the style of a Port Salut) and Lanquedoc (a semi soft washed rind cheese).
Located on the breathtaking Franschhoek-Simondium Road, the farm is awash with gorgeous, fawn-coloured, long-lashed Jersey cows who provide the key ingredient, milk from grass-fed cows!
It’s a stunning drive with a picturesque destination, the tasty cheeses are just the icing on the cake of a beautiful morning out!
